Platt…Platt…Platt…Vroom!
The dirt bikers, full of adrenaline and energy, race in competitive heats around a dusty cross country course through an East Texas piney forest. Their goal is to not fall and leave with a healthy bike and body. And, oh yeah, finish first. It is the 9th Annual Diamond Don’s Riverport National Vintage Motocross race. This family fun event brings Motocross racers into Jefferson from all over the country. It is high energy and a ton of fun.
If you are in the area, you should definitely stop by the track and see this event. The racers take risks that will leave your knees shaking. The course is designed with a lot of moguls so that the racers can take air often and is twisty and snaky so that they can push their bikes as hard as they can. This is an athletic and extreme sport.
