Gourmet Picnic Lunch:
Turkey and roasted vegetable wraps with pesto lime dipping sauce
Orzo and feta pasta salad in lime/olive oil vinaigrette

WINE TASTING WRIST BRACELET: The wrist bracelet allows you to taste up to five wines. Enoch’s staff with be stationed in wine tasting booths around the property. Let us assist your quest to find your favorite Enoch’s Stomp wine. If you already know your favorite you may exchange your wristband for a full glass of wine. Enoch has released a few new wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Susan’s Secret, and Cweet Cynthiana. WINERY TOUR: We will be crushing 4 tons of white grapes and we would love to have you assist us in the process. Enoch’s winemakers will take you on a short tour of the vineyard and winery. Listen to explanations of the grape varieties. See the crush equipment in action. Experience the transformation from plant to grape to juice to must and eventually into wine. Tours will be conducted every half hour. T-SHIRTS & GRAPE STOMPING: Commemorate the 2010 grape crush experience by placing your footprints on our customized “Enoch’s Crush” t-shirts. Pick grapes in the vineyard, or borrow a bin of our pre-picked grapes, stomp them with your own bare feet then step on your t-shirt and leave your mark. It is finally Valentine’s Day Weekend at the Carriage House Bed and Breakfast

Valentines Day is super important here in B&B land. I know a lot of people say that it is a contrived holiday made up to support the greeting card companies. Maybe. Frankly, we don’t worry too much about it here. We have a house full of people who are in love and ready to celebrate each other this weekend. That is what is what we care about!
This weekend we have all types of couples staying here from a young couple who are getting married this weekend to couples celebrating their wedding anniversaries. Of course, we also have couples that are just looking to escape the ice and snow and enjoy a weekend away from the kids.
One of our Valentine’s couple took us up on the Naughty and Nice Package. Our wonderful photographer, Tom got some great shots of all of the amazing stuff that comes in this sexy and romantic package. Trust me, next time you are needing a couple of days away with your sweetie, you will definitely want to get this package. It is just amazing and will be a vacation that you won’t forget.

Valentines Day Menu at The Stillwater Inn in Jefferson Texas

The Stillwater Inn in Jefferson has posted their elegant and very yummy dinner menu for Valentines Day. You will need reservations and probably need to make them now. In years past, if you did not have reservations made early then you were out of luck. This will be THE place to take your sweetie for Valentines Dinner.
The Carriage House Bed & Breakfast still has a few rooms left for Valentines Weekend. Because it is a holiday weekend, most of our rooms have a two night minimum. New Years Eve in Jefferson

If you have not made your New Year’s Eve plans yet, consider coming out to Jefferson some fun. There will be plenty of parties that weekend and a lot of fun to be had. Here is a list of things to do while you are here.
New Year’s Eve Steam Train - The Christmas Rail of Lights will convert over to a New Years Eve Party Trainon New Year’s Eve. Ring in the New Year with free noisemakers and the dropping of the New Years ball, just like in Times Square in New York City. There will be a fantastic fireworks show with every train ride. You do not want to miss the colorful display.
Auntie Skinners - Every one’s favorite saloon will be hosting a New Year’s Eve party complete with a live band. The band Ambush will help you rock in the New Year. Tickets are $25 for a couple or $15 for a single.
Jefferson Carnegie Library- Our beautiful library will be hosting a New Year’s Eve ball at their beautiful up stair’s ball room. The gala event will be from 9 to 12.30 pm and is $35 a ticket. There will be prizes for the best dressed couple and the best dancing couple. Hors d’oeuvres and setups will be provided. So put your dancing shoes on and come on down.
Stillwater Inn- If you are looking for a nice dinner before you go out to the party, then Stillwater Inn has the menu for you. Stillwater will be open until 10pm on New Year’s Eve and will be requiring reservations. Please call 903-665-8415.
Carriage House Bed and Breakfast- Maybe instead of wild night out, you would like a quiet night in with your sweetheart. The Enchanted Escape Romance Package will give you everything you need to spend a romantic couple of days in. We provide a meat and cheese tray so that you do not need to go out to eat. A beautiful bouquet of flowers to help set the mood and a romantic and very sexy board game called the Enchanted Evening. The next day, we will bring your breakfast to you in your room so that you do not have to get out of your jammies. To top off the romantic getaway, the package comes with two one hour massages to help you relax and decompress from the crazy year. Finally, when it is time to check out, we will let you select two of our hand thrown ceramic signature mugs as a keepsake of your fabulous retreat.
