Spring in East Texas Is a Magical Time

By March, Mother Nature gently awakens in the rolling forested hills of East Texas.  She unhurriedly unfurls a lush green carpet of spring grasses and sprinkles the meadows and fields with bright and happy wildflowers gently dancing in the light spring breezes.  Azaleas, Dogwoods, and Redbuds put on a cheerful show to welcome this colorful season of renewal.  It is spring in East Texas.

Jefferson is awake from the winter slumber as well.  Boat tours and train rides start back up from their winter hiatuses and nearly every weekend is a festival or event.  The shops and restaurants are bustling with people enjoying the gloriously mild weather and a beautiful East Texas Spring day.
